Anticipation: Kings of the Mic

I was asked to create the poster for the “Kings Of The Mic” tour stop at the Greek Theatre in LA. The tour features some of my all-time favorite from hip-hop, plus my favorite DJ in Z-Trip, so I was incredibly hyped(believe the hype on this one!) to work on the project. In fact, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a lineup featuring acts this strong from hip-hop’s golden era. I’m tight with Z-Trip and I know LL so I think they are both going to sign the print. The price will depend on which signatures I can get, so stay tuned for that and the release date, but it will be sometime around the show on July 7. Word.

18 x 24 inch screen print. Signed by Shepard and hopefully: LL Cool J and Z-Trip. Edition of 500.

This is soo dope. Some people might not be Hip Hop fans here but this is great. WORD.

The best underrated summer tour to come through (Boston) IMO.
Everyone brought their classics -- Ice Cube ever pulled out Straight Outta Compton.
Great tour and poster.

SHT! and one of our really good friends Rev went to check it out last week....said it was really sick and Ice killed it!! I will be going for one of these for him.

shes a big LL fan!
if i would have known this would have been a future release i wouldnt have gotten her the LL canvas bag at the show!

i could be wrong but it looks like shepard worked on the new ice cube stuff as well!
the meet and greet was $100 and it took me everything not to do it but i held it together and passed, hahaha!

My first show ever was the Up In Smoke Tour...Warren G, Ice Cube, Snoop Dog, Eminem and Dr. Dre. I believe it was also the first time I got high, haha. I've loved Ice Cube ever since.

Looks like the print is now dropping on the 11th and might not be signed by LL

UPDATE! Prints will be signed by Shepard Fairey and Z-Trip. We are working hard to get LL to sign the full edition but timing is everything, so we are rescheduling the release for this Thursday in hopes we can make it happen.
