Was this thread not broken off from the actual FS thread and put into the Giant vs Giant sub-forumCookie Head wrote:But you are! Stop with the banter!bdavenport wrote: By forum rules? No, you are not breaking a rule.

Re: FS: Hello Kitty in blue/purple
I understand and appreciate the Obey position on flipping. They sell at lower than market to help make the art more accessible for a larger group of collectors. All they really ask is that people not try to make a quick buck. Just like everyone else on this board I’ve been shut out on drop only to see 40 prints show up on eBay/ebeans within three weeks. In more than a few instances I’ve bought the print I missed out on off ebay/ebeans during the period that would be considered flipping. Since without demand there would be no supply, that makes me part of the problem.
I view releases like Hello Kitty as an exception to the rule. Unlike most releases, you could not sit at your computer hitting f5 between 1pm and 3pt ET to get a Hello Kitty. So unless you were local or had the coin to fly in for the show, the print could not be purchased. What I took from the Hello Kitty anticipation thread was that this print was a a pain for some people to pick up. If someone wants a little extra money for the hours it took to get the print its fine by me. That said, I understand why many on the board disagree with me and respect that they have valid reasons for doing so.
