I think this may be available for a little while. Expensive and IMO only 2-3 frame worthy prints.

For those wanting to put the work in you could probably sell the ones you don't want for $100 and keep the ones you want.

Easy pass for me.

We were several that fell over it at the same time I think .. xD

But there has not been much publicity on EB either.. for example hey are not added to the library, so they are not on the front page as a new release, and the Shepard thread has been very quiet on the EB about the set.

Well .. I will still hype the set (now I've got one ).
Here is how they will come up on my wall .. The box will also get framed.

I think I have a wall long enough for all 12. That is the plan. Finish the art room with these. One wall of the album box set with two large albums. One wall with Marcos Gold. The wall with the TV that also has the original Saber Flag. A corner with Pace Prints Arab Woman (2/50) and then the wall with this. Should be a nice little room.

Its a big finantial outlay , especially with it being $120 postage then god knows how much once it hits our shores and the UK customs demand their wedge before handing it over.....

But at least there will now be 12 future drops that I wont need to worry about

Late to the party on this. Been busy lately. Does anyone know if O.G will be dropping these as seperate prints at any stage. There are two I'd really like.

Easiest OBEY transaction ever. I bought mine at 3pm ET and sailed right through.

Dropping this in Collectibles in the middle of the page was brilliant. I'm sure that was a factor in my getting one. Price had to be a factor in the slow-ish sales, too. Plunking down $850 is not like buying a $70 print. Well...I suppose it is...times twelve-ish.

Any other thoughts on why this went so slow...in OBEY world, anyway? Obviously, other artists would kill to sell 200 box sets at $850 each in a few hours.

Yes. Box set is a run of 200, but each print is a run of 450. So, 250 of each print is available for individual release.

I think you summed it up nicely yourself ..the sheer price of it will deter casual buyers , the postage overseas ($120) will deter a lot more , even if that didnt deter you then the incoming customs bill will thats gonna be another $120-$150 on top ...plus another £8 ($15) for the pleasure of USP "handeling" it.

Should we be of that disposition to want to try an flip it us Europeans would need to clear nearlly $1400 just to break even and cover our costs involved in buying it.

Maybe the obey crew will take some sets with them to europe for the opening of the show?

I think there are a few factors. I'm not a fan of Neil Young, I think there are only a 2 or 3 prints worth hanging or storing in a portfolio, and price. Of course these are just my personal reasons for not buying but I think different combinations of these 3 resulted in the slow sell out.

Maybe the absence on ebeans combined with selling the set under collectibles and putting it down the page made for a pleasant shopping experience for all.
