That did not age well.
When did being for Peace as opposed to War become passe?
It’s a bit of a false dichotomy as what is happening there now is anything but peaceful.
It actually did age well because the image still applies.
Or are you interpreting it as the Peace Fingers image was done in support of the war bringing peace? Which isn't the case but could be interpreted that way.
I'm interpreting it is as he stated: "Personally I feel that wars, especially under the circumstances in which we’ve engaged in them, create far more problems than they resolve (Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq and the Cold War come to mind)." Even if you aren't hawkish, and I'm not, it's naïve to think that ending the Afghan war was going go bring peace (what Peace Fingers represents)- and it most certainly hasn't, and has probably deteriorated into a worse state than the occupation.

In truth, I'd be fine if Obey gouged buyers for a presale purchase. Still worth it, and I'd still be in.

In the off chance that such a thing is happening, and pre orders are happening. Add me to the list too, like everybody else, if there is a list

Agree, these are great!
Sadly, I don't think the timing works for me. Just paid for a very expensive Shep piece that I simply couldn't pass on, and told myself I'd hold off for the next few fine art drops. It's really hard to resist going for one or two of these, though.

What did you get?
A 44x60 canvas, but it's not here yet. Can share more when it's safely at home. It's taking longer than expected because of the logistics, insurance, etc.
how about Peace girl or Marilyn up next and I'll send prepayment

This past weekend I briefly visited a room that had three faithful reproductions of Duchamp's Fountain. Not only did I notice, I used one of them. It's so interesting because the work tells the truth.

other then this latest release, was the elephant every officially called "peace elephant" or was that the name changed by the shear will of the people?
I really wanted to go for one of these but the timing was pretty bad. They look beautiful tho. Congrats to those that scored! Please post pics for us when you get them in hand...
