There was no presale. This is either someone (friend, family, employee) that knows they have guaranteed access to the prints, or most likely of all, it is a flipper as usual.

there aren't presales. this auction however IS a presale and has to be stated as such or else eBay will shut down the auction. if you are selling something you don't yet have, or hasn't been released yet, on eBay then you have to list it as a presale item.

Ok, my question was a bit ironical. With whom do I have to become friend to become the perfect flipper on Ebay? Here I have been lucky, but that's far not the rule...

No way all 500 sold out that quick. I bet the gallery that coordinated the installation has a pretty good chunk. There are not many on ebay either. Don't support the flippers. there has to be more coming from somewhere.
