Re: official Ebay WOW this print went high Thread
Yeah, I'd pay in the $600 range for a red. Pricing is a funny thing. If you list something too high and no other copies are really available, sometimes you get paid off.summoner wrote:Funny that now I am seeing this print listed on EB for 1K...conartstudio wrote:About $400 too high...slipry wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 9601753122

It is a little high but not crazy high IMO. A War by Numbers - Red sold for over 1k in 2013. The 6 month averages for the pair is 1380 so they did overpay.Addict wrote:War by numbers set sold in a few hours for $1650.-

So I know this is an in-demand print and I'm sure some of you were monitoring this (regardless of it being early morning). But 7 bills? Listing says 'good' condition....I had emailed for a lil more descrip, but no answer.
Thoughts?

I'd say that the ending amount of this auction might be a little high especially if the condition is just "good" despite what they've been getting according to the previous results, this is an awesome print and doesn't come up that often.sweetjesus wrote:So I know this is an in-demand print and I'm sure some of you were monitoring this (regardless of it being early morning). Looks like most prints from that era, nice and wavy from the heavy ink. I sold my copy about 6 years ago for that price or higher I believe. I think the price is inline with here it should be.sweetjesus wrote:So I know this is an in-demand print and I'm sure some of you were monitoring this (regardless of it being early morning). Re: official Ebay WOW this print went high Thread
EB has the highest ever sold at $1k. It might well end up being a 1500 print but it isn't quite there in my opinion.

I'd be careful using EB as the "end all be all." There are plenty of sales that happen through galleries and private parties that aren't recorded on EB.
No way in he!! that this is a $700 print!!

I'd say that is a high estimate. Maybe 1k....

Re: official Ebay WOW this print went high Thread
A fair point but the sales recorded on EB should not be discounted either as most are legitimate transactions. Perhaps the real answer is that this print sells for $600 to $1500. I will say that if I owned one I would not sell for under $1k.Molotov Man wrote:I'd be careful using EB as the "end all be all." Re: official Ebay WOW this print went high Thread
two good posts. You might think it's the high estimate for 2014, not in 2016, that's for sure!!
I wouldn't sell mine for $1K.

I'm looking to bid on this Commanda print, but don't want to bid too high. I was thinking I'd bid up t $150. What do you think?

Agreed. Nothing more than a conversation piece at $200. Why does anyone foamboard anything?
Re: official Ebay WOW this print went high Thread
Ready for framing....that is very "glass half full". I paid a decent amount less for that print in the last year and it was in great shape and not drymounted. $200 is about right in my book.

The above took the print from the hundreds to the thousands. That said, there were two bidders with zero feedback all over that auction.
