done after the fact by hand embossing stamp. Similar to the way pow or modern multiples would do it.
there is a picture of it on instragram. and it looks like JRF himself is the one doing the stamping.

Only 2 on eBay...... Does this mean the flippers waiting to have in hand before they list them.

I think it's safe to say they ended early and sold off eBay. First confirmed sale is for $275 via best offer.Gigantico wrote:That, or "Bud" had them removed.spagucci1 wrote:Only 2 on eBay...... Does this mean the flippers waiting to have in hand before they list them.

or are you saying "confirmed" because you bought the one for $275?
Re: Anticipation: Peace Dove Letterpress Print
No I didn't buy that one. I said confirmed because it was a confirmed sale through eBay.fribhey wrote:two already sold before that for $300:spagucci1 wrote:I think it's safe to say they ended early and sold off eBay. I said it was confirmed because the sale price was in green, meaning that a sale was made.fribhey wrote:how do you know if it's confirmed or not? are those that i linked to not confirmed sales/flips?spagucci1 wrote:No I didn't buy that one. Re: Anticipation: Peace Dove Letterpress Print
I just tried to make an offer on one but lost out... Sold for $300.
Really regret missing out on this one. Got caught up with work and totally forgot...
Hopefully I will be able to pick one up.

Re: Anticipation: Peace Dove Letterpress Print
I think they are being knocked off ebay. I don't see any listed when I click on sold listings and I see two active listings. With a $300 price point I would think people would be flipping the S out of them. Hopefully they will all hit ebay in a couple weeks at the same time and that will keep the prices down.

Re: Anticipation: Peace Dove Letterpress Print
I searched sold listings on eBay and found four, three sold for $300 and another for $350. I don't see any that sold for $275.spagucci1 wrote:I said it was confirmed because the sale price was in green, meaning that a sale was made.fribhey wrote:how do you know if it's confirmed or not? are those that i linked to not confirmed sales/flips?spagucci1 wrote:No I didn't buy that one. Re: Anticipation: Peace Dove Letterpress Print
This is the one that I said sold for $275. I'm probably wrong in my assesment. Been a long day, and missing this print didnt help.

I searched Fairey Dove and came up empty for sold or completed. I did see some that seemed sold through EB.fribhey wrote:

I searched "peace dove letterpress" and refined the search to sold items only:jjttdw wrote:I searched Fairey Dove and came up empty for sold or completed. I did see some that seemed sold through EB.fribhey wrote:

Weird that those sold listings are only showing up on the eBay app for the iPhone but aren't appearing on the main site. I'm guessing the sellers are somehow trying to delete the listings (or somehow making them private) so they don't get refunded but the iPhone app still sees them.
Here are the sold listings:

This is a false statement!
Just because some fall through the cracks, doesn't mean they don't have means in place to help stop this practice.
There is NO way they could ever stop every person from flipping right after purchase.
love, Bud.
Well put, especially by someone who contributes to the very thing that they deny happens, profit from art, only on a larger/gallery scale! Good day bud

Someone please take this for me because that statement hurt my head! Who is denying "profit from art" happens?

Re: Anticipation: Peace Dove Letterpress Print
Are you serious? At what point did MM "deny" ANYTHING happens? You specifically said Shepard doesn't care about flippers and MM told you that was not true, which it's not. You then proceed to make up things MM NEVER said or implied to try and justify your bogus statement.Revolution wrote:Thanks bud!Molotov Man wrote:It would be difficult to give you proof, bud. Do yourself a favor, remove the shoe from your mouth and grow up. You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about and are just trying to stir the pot because you missed out on a print.

Well what do ya know? Revolution comes out of hiding once again to chime in with some hate. So I thought I'd come out too and let everyone who forgot know that this troll has done this before and likely will again. We can only hope he learns a little bit about economics before his next post.
