Re: New Theme on TheGiant
Sadly I have no way to test that here or at work.
It probably has something to do with IE 8 being crepe and not understanding inline-blocks.
Anyone with an old PC want to help me figure this out?
Also... That isnt near the only thing you are missing it looks like. Basically the top half of the site is broken.
Also, Macs have had right click for 10 years now. Just saying.

Re: New Theme on TheGiant
Code: Select all
#actions LI{
float:left;
}
seems to have helped IE8
on point like a decimalist?

Re: New Theme on TheGiant
I cleaned up the PM/user control panel area a bunch.
I made the quick reply better formatted and less confusing.
I messed up some things. But I dont think anyone will notice or care, so Im telling what.

PMs are displaying weird on all the mac browsers i've tested with (safari, chrome, firefox) - new messages are all shifted to the left. I've sent you a PM with a screen shot so you can see how they are looking on my end.
also, i noticed that when i get PMs the new message counter doesn't change, still just says "0 new messages"

Re: New Theme on TheGiant
Fixed.
Thanks.
The person who made the template (non css stuff) really over completed things. It is so hard to change one thing, without messing up everything else.
Thanks.

looks spiffy!
Re: New Theme on TheGiant
One thing I notice myself looking for are the "back to top of page" arrows next to each post.

Re: New Theme on TheGiant
On the iPhone you can just tap the top of the screen to scroll back up to the top of the page BUT this function, which is a built in feature of safari, is disabled when you are viewing any page other than the first page of a thread. For example, when you are viewing the forum categories or when viewing the first page of a thread the "tap the top bar to scroll to top" works, but when you click on page 2 (or any other page other than page 1, the tap the top bar doesn't work.Gigantico wrote:One thing I notice myself looking for are the "back to top of page" arrows next to each post.

Still not showing on Firefox.
On the "Swanky" view, it is a little up arrow icon on the bottom right of every post.

Same here too.
I just checked in FF and I see it. It could just be cached.

Re: New Theme on TheGiant
It has to do with auto parsing URLs vs URLs in the url tags
Like this: http://forum.thegiant.org/viewtopic.php ... 49#p397249
vs this: http://forum.thegiant.org/viewtopic.php ... 49#p397249
But this isnt a change that I know of.
