Anyone interested in Olly Moss?

Show at Gallery 1988 >> http://www.nineteeneightyeight.com/medi ... 1280-1.jpg

I first got acquainted with his work when I bought this print last year. Image

YES! i'll be checking out the show. locke's secret is what turned me on to him... but at that point in time i liked money more than the print :)

my collection of olly has grown substantially since then.

he does lots of great work on movie posters, but i think this is one of his most underrated prints:

this show is genius (edit: i'm repeating other people).. how the hell does someone come up with so many ideas for one show? he could easily have made small amounts of multiples a la shepard fairey and made some really good $$. Wonder what percentage of this show will go on ebay. Wish I was in town for this.

I tried getting on the buyers list, but I guess I was too far down. Would have been nice to score a couple of these.

Think I read somewhere that this show didn't have a preview list at olly's request. Works were only available in person.

Yeah, I heard people were camped out well before the show. At the price level, I'm not surprised it sold out in a hurry.

I almost flew into town for the show, but now that I heard that people were there way before my flight even arrived(9am), I'm really glad I didn't go.

that line was rough! when i got up to buy something everything i had scoped out was gone. the gallery didn't have a list to reference what was left, so i ended up buying just a couple of prints. gallery1988 didn't handle the line in the most professional way IMHO. they gave out tickets to the first 27 people and called out those numbers to purchase, everyone else was left hanging in the wind to battle it out in that tiny room.

dude next to me bought the lord of the rings piece at $1200! (highest in the show i believe).

i really wanted tobias fumke as the 'anal rapist'. ralph wiggum would have been nice too ('tastes like burning').
