JR's latest project is taking his work and vision to the next level. It is amazing!

http://www.insideoutproject.net/

About The Project

INSIDE OUT is a large-scale participatory art project that transforms messages of personal identity into pieces of artistic work. Everyone is challenged to use black and white photographic portraits to discover, reveal and share the untold stories and images of people around the world. These digitally uploaded images will be made into posters and sent back to the project’s co-creators for them to exhibit in their own communities. People can participate as an individual or in a group; posters can be placed anywhere, from a solitary image in an office window to a wall of portraits on an abandoned building or a full stadium. These exhibitions will be documented, archived and viewable virtually.

Also, this 24 minute video of JR's speech at the TED awards is a "must see" for any fan of JR's work:

I just stumbled onto this while looking for street art and urban art involving stacking/gang signs because of an illustration I made a little while ago.

Black/white is the best of the new ones IMO. Unfortunately out of my wheelhouse right now. Don't think the edition of 100 will set out that fast so it's nice to be able to think about it for a while.

.

$700 bones seems like an enormous amount of money for a 1 color screen print that there are 100 of. I must be behind on what the minimum wage is.... lol... - I will say I do prefer the b&w over the colors by leaps and bounds.

Happy Friday Folks... !!! ec

was hoping to scrape it together, but will just enjoy the books.
if I could afford it I'd bite no problem. hard for me to quantify how much art is worth. but I do think I'd rather put the money towards the 'untitle eyes'.
