for those of you who don't know who DAIN is....
i picked this piece up from him last month.
it's silkscreens over collage and mixed media on wood.
22"x22"...3/4" thick...and heavy!
there is 1 vellow version [mine] and 3-4 other colorways. that's it.

Very nice.
And I love the repetitive image considering the "meaning" of the piece.

lotus boxer 24x24.
For those who don't know, Dain has two pieces at a show at Edlin Gallery in NY that opens this Thursday (529 W. 20th St. 6th floor, 6-8pm).

Is that the same show you were talking about, J?
Nice score on the boxer. Was about to purchase it 2 weeks ago, then it sold. He made me another, and I have it on hold now. I guess he made a third one. What color is yours?

Is there anywhere to see other works by him? I like his stuff much better than Bast.

Make sure you post pics when you get your boxer. I'm so sick of seeing hundreds of pics of the same screenprint on forums.
No offense to you Shep lovers.

here's my lotus boxer. it's not as dark as it may appear in the picture. the background is basically the upside-down 3 horsemen image.
this somewhat makes up for the fact that i will probably never get my hands on one of faile's rampage prints. i like it a lot.

NICE.
Much better than Rampage, honestly.
I am a big Faile fan, but that image doesn't do it for me.

the layering and colors on this piece is great, and i'm sure the same goes for all the others that have been posted here. i should also add that dain is a really nice guy - he actually dropped the piece off at my house for me. the man most definitely delivers

Lucky you.
The first few I bought, the shipping was such a minimal charge.
This time they nailed me, and probably rightfully so seeing as I thought they undercharged me the first two times.
