Re: 90s prints on ebay

Most of the Black on Blacks around today were sold in 2000 and backdated. Some were at the 1st MK show. I've seen one in person that seemed to be a true 96, the rest looked like 2000. I've only seen AP's (including the 96) and never seen one with a number.

Re: Shepard X RISK: Peace & Justice Collaboration

the only thing that bother's me about this piece is that the combination of the words "peace justice" with the rainbow spectrum color scheme give it a kitschy flower power look and feel You sure that's the only thing? Because I seem to have noticed a few things that bother you about this ...

Re: Shepard Fairey Guns and Roses from the first White Wall

Agree with Solar. Solid price on an OG of that size, but an inferior image that has sat available on the secondary market for a long time (years I believe). I like the piece, but an iconic 30x44 stencil collage would definitely fetch a better price.

Re: Anticipation: Peace Dove Letterpress Print

That's a bit more constructive and worth a response. In any free market, price is dictated by what a buyer is willing to pay. Places like ebay, or the for sale sections of expresso beans and this forum, act as exchanges have no influence on pricing. It's not as if one can list a piece on ebay for an...

Well what do ya know? Revolution comes out of hiding once again to chime in with some hate. So I thought I'd come out too and let everyone who forgot know that this troll has done this before and likely will again. We can only hope he learns a little bit about economics before his next post.

Re: Shep show at Stolen Space London, UK

That is an older mandala, it was not at the most recent Stolen Space show, nor were the two that were listed as sold on the 'available' web page, and pictured on the previous page. The only mandalas at the recent show were the 4 large one offs, there were none available from the previous editions.

Re: Shep show at Stolen Space London, UK

Awesome show, super packed and a long queue, Shep looked like he was having a blast on the turntables and the crowd was feeling it. Also pretty amazing how much of the work sold considering it was such a large body of work and in some cases multiples of the edition were sold. All in all I'm happy fo...

Re: Shep @ Pace Studios (NYC)

Nice pics! Did anyone notice the 3 face Andre in the collage on one of the peace dove hpms? Saw that the second time around. It's nice to see that he's still including the icon in newer works, it seems to be increasingly rare. I love the patterns and newsprint, but anything Andre takes the cake in m...

Re: Shepard Fairey AG Soda

I know of private sales for $800 and $1400 on the gray version, in addition to the few $250 sales from the aforementioned ebay guy. I agree with your stepping stone post EC. Personally I feel that Shepard gained attention, had fun, and saw potential in what he was doing with these early stunts. He b...
