This print is based on the Big Brother imagery from the film 1984.

The “Obey Big Brother” image was based on the actual Big Brother poster from the 1950s’ movie version of 1984. I thought it was the most recognizable manifestation of Big Brother, as opposed to the Big Brother image that I created as a person reinterpretation of the concept. Orwell’s ideas always resonated with me, so I thought it fitting to pay homage, especially since many of those ideas were already integrated into the Obey campaign.
