The Horror is a colloquialism used by Shepard Fairey fans to describe the experience of trying to purchase a print released on Obeygiant.com, particularly experiences involving 'random release times'.
Salient features of The Horror include 50+ page "Official Anticipation Threads", urinary tract infections, carpal tunnel syndrome from repeated hitting of F5(a function key which refreshes the browser page), anxiety, frustration, Glenn Beck, autodefecation, and the false hope of 'getting back from Paypal' only to be punished by The Donk.
The Horror is believed to have begun circa 2006. At this time, despite repeated pleas from fans worldwide, Shepard Fairey and Obeygiant.com have not taken appropriate corrective action.
