Ha! I'm going to get one Must have. Thanks for posting. It's nice to see UO didn't just steal an artists image for once. http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/2011/05/urban_outfitter_2.php They should just call it appropriating: http://open.salon.com/blog/ed_nachtrieb/2009/05/20/shepard_fairey...

Re: AP alleges copyright infringement of Obama image

Was in the courtroom for the sentencing. Shep was very classy. Got off as well as he could have possibly hoped. That is dedication homes. Thought Shepard's written response was very genuine and well articulated. Glad he made a point to point out the value and worth of fair use imagery in art--IMO t...

My recent acquisitions. Who made these? Still available online. Really digging them. Cheers to you both. The Haring decks were made by Alien Workshop. AWS webstore sold out of them almost as soon as they released them. I bought them at my local skate store. Found em: http://shop.ccs.com/product/mod...

I remember seeing some dude with that 3 face deck in 2002(maybe '03?) at a skate park in AZ. Been trying to hunt one down ever since.

I think she was referencing the use of the ideas/history learned, not the filming skills. I am sure Helen wouldn't mind if he put his learned skills to work on a different project not related to Shepard. Say a docudrama on The invention of the modern oven Yes, agree she was referencing the ideas an...

Re: Official Shepard Fairey OBEY Film

I brought this kid in to work on my unfinished feature doc about Shep (the update to my 1995 short), that I was producing and directing in 2009. He was my intern and worked for credit for RISD, the school Shep and I met at. He had access to all my early archive footage and other proprietary materia...

Have never seen Meulman's work before. Certainly bears some similarities to Retna, but very unique and cool in his own right.

Hardly. I never received or signed a buyers agreement. When I was informed that agreement was meant for all pieces sold at this show, including prints, and that I should have received it, I took down my listing.

Shepard in the Kony 2012, Invisible Children documentary

Many of you have probably seen the 30 minute vignette Kony 2012 produced by Invisible Children. It features Shepard and a large part of their Kony 2012 campaign is geared towards a guerrilla, street art-type, marketing and awareness campaign. While the video is compelling, the campaign exciting, and...

Sent you a PM outeredge. As I explained, I was never asked to sign a sellers agreement. When I wasn't asked to do so, I just assumed they were only for the traditional fine art pieces, and not the prints. Willing to cancel the sale and look to recoup my costs elsewhere if that is how you would prefe...
